October 13, 2019 POF HOA Board meeting minutes

Post Oak Forest HOA board meeting was held October 13, 2019. Meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM.

 Attendees were Carol Scamardo, Debra Ware, John Cozad, Laine Totah, Jack Benson,  David Hicks and Kenneth Johse.                    

1.   GENERAL SECRETARY REPORT:  New owners in number 19 will be added to the directory once their contact information is received.   A template for parking violations on the street was reviewed.  This will be available to all POF homeowners to place on cars that they see that are parked in the street.  Jack made a motion that the template be provided to homeowners and Kenneth seconded.  Laine will add the template to the website and Debra will email to all. 

2.   TREASURER:  All dues are up to date.  Kenneth is projecting that we will be slightly under budget for the year.

3.      POOL: Was closed October 7th.

4.      GROUNDS:  The sprinklers in the new esplanade do not reach to the far ends and the grounds crew is currently using homeowner’s water for these areas.  Carol asked the grounds crew if they could remedy this but they can not.  Board approved Carol to contact the company who installed the system to evaluate options.  Carol will have the last street light that is not currently LED updated.  Cost should be approximately $125. 

4.       ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE:    Durolast roof option was not approved by the ACC or the board.  The homeowner has been notified to use the shingles option that was previously submitted and approved.  Debra will contact them and will ask for resolution within 30 days.   Debra will also contact owner regarding satellite dish placement on roof.               

 5.      ANNUAL MEETING: Meeting will be held on January 21, 2020.  We are required to give notice 60 days prior which will be around Nov 21st.  This will be discussed at the next board meeting.                                     

 6.      FUTURE PROJECTS:

 2019: proposed projects include sprinkler system upgrades (approx  $1,000)        

 Pool replastering (approx $8,000 – 12,000)

 Meeting adjourned at 7:45

Next meeting will be Sunday, November 3, 2019.
