Post Oak Forest Board meeting was held on 6\/14\/2026. Meeting was called to
\norder at 7:15 PM.
\nAttendees were Don Lipkin, Kathi Light, Stacy Light, Kim Tolman, Rhonda
\nWatson, Cherie Cotner, Kenneth Johse.
\nBefore the minutes were approved, Stacy reported that with Carla Cozad\u2019s
\ndeparture, we need to appoint a new Secretary. Stacy asked if anyone on the Board
\nwas interested in taking the position with no volunteers. Stacy accepted the
\nposition for the remainder of this year and Cherie volunteered to be a back-up.
\nThe minutes were reviewed. Cherie moved to approve as posted, it was seconded
\nby Rhonda and approved.
\nThe agenda was reviewed and approved.
\nPresidents Report: Don welcomed our incoming Board member, Kathi Light, and
\nthanked her for joining the Board, filling Carla\u2019s vacancy. Our finances are strong,
\nwhich Kenneth will discuss further. The pool is almost up to Brazos County
\nstandards. More update from Kim.
\nWe appreciate efforts from all residents for maintaining our grounds and keeping
\ndriveways and carports clean. The Board will review and prepare proposed
\namendments for annual meeting, including reviewing our carport storage policy
\nand Board size (number of members). All input from residents on these and any
\nother bylaws\/policy topics are most welcome!
\nTreasurer\u2019s Report: Kenneth said our spending is in line with our budget and
\nfinances are in good shape. We will have upcoming pool expenses and expenses
\nfor the replacement of path lighting to the pool. We have $5,000 of capital
\nexpenditures in our budget that can be used, if necessary.
\nACC: Don reported that with Julius\u2019s departure, we need to nominate a new ACC
\nchair. Stacy will send a note to the residents asking for a volunteer for this
\nposition.
\nKathi and others mentioned that it would be helpful to have more specifics on paint
\ncolors to make the ACC role easier. Kim is going to look for the paint swatches
\nand recommendations that used to be in the welcome packet. We will post what is
\navailable on the website for all to have access to.<\/p>\n
Grounds: Tom is waiting to hear back from the drainage consultant about a
\nproposal to improve drainage behind units 10-13 (approximately). The consultant
\nhas come out, waiting on recommendations.
\nDonal Antill has contacted our tree expert, Spencer, about the next tree trimming.
\nHe will let everyone know when Spencer will do a walk through.
\nKim will circle back with Lance, the electrician, regarding the path lights to the
\npool that need to be replaced.
\nMosquitoes are a big problem this season. Kim will see if city can help beyond
\nproviding dunks.
\nPool: Project is ongoing to bring the pool up to the new regulations of a
\n\u201ccommercial\u201d pool. Emergency phone has been installed. Kim will check with FD
\nto see if we can (1) do a test call and (2) agree on appropriate address\/location
\ndescription to provide in emergency. Safety equipment and signage are in place,
\nfence bottoms have been patched\/extended. We have a testing protocol in place and
\nare now testing pH and chlorine daily. Chemicals are balanced weekly by Eco
\nPools. Drain Cap needs to be replaced and a rope installed to separate shallow from
\ndeep end. Kim to ask ECO Pools to do this.
\nOld Business: Need to update distribution list, including our four renters. Don
\nwill send Stacy Word doc, Kim will find contact info from our new neighbors in
\n#24 and #29. Don will work to provide update on insurance policy.
\nNo new business or announcements.
\nThe next Board meeting is August 2 at 7 PM.
