The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm at # 17.<\/p>\n

Announcements:<\/span><\/p>\n The Big Event is coming up<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Old Business<\/span>:<\/p>\n No old business was brought forth for discussion by homeowners.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n New Business<\/span>:<\/p>\n 2011 annual meeting minutes were read and approved.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ozden Ochoa has resigned from the Board. \u00a0Grace Ann retired from the Board last year.\u00a0 Eleanor is new treasurer.\u00a0 Henry was a huge help with maintaining the pool.\u00a0 Kim appreciates any community help. \u00a0Volunteers are great but they skew the actual cost of caring for the pool.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kim shared a brief overview of needed repairs in the neighborhood.\u00a0 Home values are not optimal due to economy.\u00a0 We want to do as much as we can to enhance our community.\u00a0<\/p>\n The following reports were presented:<\/p>\n Pool-Kim<\/span><\/p>\n Filter needs work, clean out needs to be moved as it is a tripping\/safety hazard, path to pool needs work and lighting needs repair.\u00a0 We have an estimate from an electrician for LED lights as replacement-approximately $2500. \u00a0\u00a0Malcolm has alternatives to consider and is willing to share resources.\u00a0 Questions asked: How many people use the pool?\u00a0 Is it worth the investment?\u00a0 Answer: Yes!\u00a0 The pool is used and the clean out is a liability.\u00a0 Demographics of POF community are changing.\u00a0 Younger folks use it quite a bit.\u00a0 Gravel needs to be replaced.<\/p>\n Road-Tim<\/span><\/p>\n Post Oak Forest owns the road and we are responsible for upkeep.\u00a0 Each year the issues for repairs grow.\u00a0 Further discussion is needed to find the best approach.<\/p>\n Grounds-Carol<\/span><\/p>\n See attached report for details.\u00a0 Items in need of repair:<\/p>\n Fence located between #22 and #23 plant replacement, potential tree removal, irrigation system, soil amendment, entrance sign repainted, mulch.<\/p>\n The desire to keep in the Frank Lloyd Wright scheme was shared based on the history of the property.\u00a0 Comprehensive landscaping plan and subsequent oversight of plan is costly and cannot be achieved at current dues rate.\u00a0 It was requested that a communication system between the Grounds Committee, landscapers and homeowners be developed.<\/p>\n Budget-Eleanor<\/span><\/p>\n Eleanor presented the 2011\/2012 budget recapping previous reports and summarized overall plans.\u00a0 $4K was not spent in 2011, reserving money for capital improvements for 2012.\u00a0 In the future we will have more of a strategy instead of a band-aide approach to maintenance and repair projects.<\/p>\n It was proposed to increase the annual rate for the cost of keeping the grounds.\u00a0 The point was made to leave such matters to the Board and not have it micromanaged by homeowners.<\/p>\n Discussion followed, budget was voted on and APPROVED!<\/p>\n Tim, Joyce and Carol have expiring terms, have agreed to serve again and POF membership voted to re-elect.<\/p>\n Misc.<\/span><\/p>\n Grace Anne was recognized for her 12 years of service.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meeting adjourned at 9:00pm<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PostForest Annual Progressive Party and Meeting January 17, 2012 Participant names were recorded electronically.
