Post Oak Forest HOA board meeting was held \u00a0June 4, 2017. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.<\/p>\n
Attendees were Carol Scamardo, Antonio Garcia, Kenneth Joshe, Jack Benson, Debra Ware, Laura Hendler, Tom Ostrowski and Laine Totah.<\/p>\n
Pool Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n Laine, Debra and KimTolman have been set up a schedule on\u00a0responsibilities for<\/p>\n various activities necessary to operate the pool.<\/p>\n Grounds: <\/strong>Carol reported that she walked the grounds with contractors and received bids on cutting trees.\u00a0 It was decided to use the contractor who performed the work last time \u2013 the cost to complete the work is $3,900.\u00a0 \u00a0Carol made a motion to go forward with this work, Jack seconded. Board approved work to go forward.\u00a0 This could start as early as Monday, June 5th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Architecture Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n Two units were noted with violations (#14 \u2013 toilet in carport and #5 \u2013 fence not in compliance).\u00a0 It was agreed that violation letters will be sent to these two requesting that these issued be resolved.\u00a0\u00a0 Paint colors were reviewed and approved on #11.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Grant from City of <\/strong>College Station<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n Letter was received from the city awarding us $ 10,000 in grant funds for the new sign and landscaping for front entrance.\u00a0 The board reviewed the proposed signage.\u00a0 Laine made a motion to go forward with the design and Debra seconded.\u00a0 The board approved.\u00a0 Tom will review design and scope one last time with the two contractors and will choose one.\u00a0 Laine will sign the contract with the city.\u00a0 Once we sign, we have one year to get the work done.<\/p>\n Jack also suggested that we also get a sign that notes \u201cDead End\u201d or something similar to be put at the front entrance by the office buildings.\u00a0 Carol will look into getting a sign like this made.<\/p>\n Treasurer Report: <\/strong>Antonio\u2019s treasurer report noted that we have $86,497 in savings and $2,333 in checking.<\/p>\n He also reviewed the status of HOA dues and noted time frame for estimated receipts.<\/p>\n By-Law and Covenant Review:<\/strong><\/p>\n Kenneth and Tom hope to begin the work on reviewing the bylaws and covenants soon.<\/p>\n Pool House Roof: <\/strong>The board believes this is a lower priority and should not be\u00a0done until completion of the road repair.<\/p>\n Road: <\/strong>Tom will contact the contractor to see approximate start\u00a0date since we have signed the contract to have the work done.<\/p>\n July meeting will be skipped since it falls on fourth of July weekend and most will be gone.<\/p>\n Next meetings are scheduled as follows (all are Sundays at 7:00 PM at Carols house):<\/p>\n August 13<\/p>\n September 10<\/p>\n October 1<\/p>\n November 5<\/p>\n December 3<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meeting was adjourned at 8:07.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Post Oak Forest HOA board meeting was held \u00a0June 4, 2017.
