March 3, 2019 POF HOA Meeting minutes

Post Oak Forest HOA board meeting was held March 3, 2019. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.

Attendees were Kenneth Johse, Stacy Light, Carol Scamardo, Cherie Cotner,  Debra Ware, John Cozad and Laine Totah.

New Items:

Debra Ware received an inquiry regarding trailers sitting in driveways for extended periods.  She noted that the covenants only entitle owners to the use of the driveway as automobile parking space.  It is also noted in the covenants that temporary commercial vehicles for construction or maintenance are allowed.  Kenneth made a motion to send a notice to owners noting that permanent parking of trailers in driveways is not allowed.  John seconded the motion.  The board approved and Debra will send notices.

The board reviewed the General Rules that are currently posted on the website.  A few revisions were noted and Laine will make the website updates.  These rules will be provided to all new home owners.

1.   GROUNDS REPORT:  Carol reported Antonio fixed the damage done by the moving truck last month for a total cost of $115.  She contacted the moving company to ask for repayment but has not had a response.  It was noted that when we review our by-laws and covenants we might consider adding a section noting that homeowners would be responsible for any damage done by a mover/truck that they had hired.

2.   TREASURER:  Kenneth presented the financials.  No outstanding issues. We currently have about $26,000 in savings.

3.   POOL:  No issues to report.

4.       ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE:  A request is pending for roof repairs on number 21.  Once the ACC sends recommendation, Debra will forward to board members for approval.

5.      REVIEW OF INSURANCE: Insurance policy renews in May.  Debra reviewed the current policy and board recommends renewing policy with current company (State Farm) in May.

6.      NEWSLETTER: Cherie will begin preparing a new edition.  She will include information on moving vans causing damage, paint disposal methods, home owner profiles.

7.      FUTURE PROJECTS:

2019: proposed projects include sprinkler system upgrades (approx $1,000)  and possible attorney costs if we need to update by-laws or CCR’s. ( unknown cost)

2020-2021: Patching and sealing road by units 18-30 (approx $8,000) and pool replastering (approx $8,000 – 12,000)

Meeting adjourned 7:50.
