POF HOA Board meeting minutes August 4, 2019

Post Oak Forest HOA board meeting was held August 4, 2019. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.

 Attendees were Carol Scamardo, Cherie Cotner,  Debra Ware, John Cozad, Laine Totah, Stacy Light and Kenneth Johse.          

1.   GENERAL SECRETARY REPORT:  When new tenants move into number 10 the POF directory will be updated.  Laine will provide them with list of general rules once they move in.   

2.   TREASURER:  We set up a $20,000 CD that matures in December 2019 at Prosperity bank. We still have enough funds to in the general bank account for regular monthly maintenance. 

3.      POOL: New filter switch was installed.  Back gate latch needs to be re-aligned.   Carol will ask Antonio to see if this is something he can fix. 

4.      GROUNDS:  All the overgrowth was cleared out.  Discussed options for number 12 to cover site lines to junk in yard behind the house on Shady lane.  Possibilities include adding plants or fencing.  New speed limit signs were installed and security light was fixed.  Road patch work was done between number 25 and 26.  Running water from number 20 to number 23 where the water has been turned off.  We all were reminded to be on the lookout for bees which have been a problem in a number of areas in the neighborhood. 

4.       ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE:   1) Follow up report on unit 18 was reviewed.  Kenneth made a motion to send a letter to the homeowner that they should proceed with the installation on the roof of the composition shingles which were already submitted on an ACC request and approved.  The letter should include a notation that the work should be completed by a September 15th deadline.  John seconded and the motion was approved.                                                      

2) Trailer issue in carports was discussed.  By-laws and CCR’s are gray in this area.   Stacy made a motion that we amend the general rules to allow trailers to be parked under carport area without extending beyond the covered area for a period covering the duration of Aggie football season only.   Cherie seconded and the motion passed.  The following wording will be added to the General Rules section regarding Driveways, Carports and Atriums Visible from the street:  Carports are not to be used for storage with the exception of allowance of Trailers used for the duration of Aggie football season only. Trailers must not extend beyond the covered area of the carport and be removed once the football season has ended .                       

5.      FALL NEWSLETTER: Cherie is working on a fall edition for future publication.                                            

 6.      FUTURE PROJECTS:  

2019: proposed projects include sprinkler system upgrades (approx  $1,000)        

 Pool replastering (approx $8,000 – 12,000)
