Post Oak Forest board meeting was held September 7, 2016. Meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM.
Attendees were Kim Tolman, Carol Scamardo, Joyce Birdwell, Tom Ostrowski, Antonio Garcia, Laura Hendler, and Laine Totah.
Laine has agreed to be the secretary for the board.
We discussed keeping the Post Oak Forest minutes and financial information on the Post Oak Forest computer that Antonio has. Antonio will get the minutes and post them on the computer. He will get everything up-to-date.
Kim announced that the city of college station will have a shred day on October 1 at college station City Hall.
Damage from recent floods was discussed.
Issue of the number of board members we have was discussed. The current bylaws say we should have nine. We all agreed that we would like to reduce this to seven. This will have to be voted on at the annual meeting with two thirds vote. We will include this in our annual meeting next January.
Grounds report: Kim asked to have Antonio re-clear a path from behind her house to the mailbox.
Antonio Garcia gave a financial report. We have a total balance of $77,600.
Tom gave a report on the roads. We discussed spending a total of $50,000 on the road. Tom will contact the contractor to see what we can do for this amount of money. Laura proposed this and Laine seconded.
Kim volunteered to send an email to all homeowners regarding the shredding event on October 1, a reminder that the carports need to be cleared, and a request to help clean the pool if you are over there.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25. The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 4.
